ABOUT ME

Hi! Welcome!

Jessica is a performer who strives to challenge expectations. Her vocals have been described as “pyrotechnic and exhilarating”, and “effortlessly satisfying.” She finds fulfillment in performing works that invoke societal change and that center women and queer people. A sucker for a good power ballad, her favorite thing to do is belt pop/rock tunes. (Some of her favorites include Misery Business by Paramore, Come To Your Senses from Tick, Tick...BOOM!, and It's All Coming Back To Me Now by Celine Dion).

She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, with two siblings, her parents, and her grandparents, all under one roof. Living in an equine-friendly neighborhood, she spent her childhood riding horses and raising baby ducks and geese with her grandpa, Chester. (Chester Lester, the best name of all time).

Having started at Arizona State University in 2020, Jessica's future in musical theatre was clouded by the Covid-19 pandemic. But with the amazing support from her teachers and the Music Theatre and Opera community at ASU, she never felt like she was missing out on opportunities to perform. Some of her favorite projects she's been involved with in her time at ASU include playing the tortured and vengeful Lizzie Borden in in the larger than life rock-concert musical LIZZIE, playing the joyful and passionate "Bless the Lord" Disciple in Godspell, and most recently, directing a student-led production of the heart-breaking, bittersweet coming of age musical, The Mad Ones.

Jessica graduated in Spring 2024 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre Performance.

When she's not performing, Jessica enjoys reading Y/A fantasy novels, watching video-game playthroughs on YouTube, listening to indie folk/rock, and hanging out with her cat, Florence.
